Real Living Rooms. Real Cold Winter Nights. Three Flame Colors, Crystal-Ember Bed.

18 inches wide. Crystal-ember bed. Three flame colors. Drops into your existing opening — no contractor.

You have an existing 18-inch mantel surround, a TV console cutout, or a sealed-off fireplace opening. You do not want to gut it, hire a contractor, and pay $2,000 for a real insert. That is what this is for.

4 Things We Care About

18 in Wide, 18 in Tall. Crystal-Ember Bed. 3 Flame Colors.

Designed to drop into an existing rectangular fireplace opening, TV console cutout, or cabinet opening at least 18 inches wide by 18 inches tall by 5 inches deep. The defining feature is the bed of glass crystal embers at the bottom, lit from below in your choice of amber, blue, or purple flame at 3 brightness levels each.

Insert or Freestanding. No Wall-Mount Needed.

Retrofit a sealed-off masonry fireplace. Fill a TV console cutout that was made for a fireplace insert. Or set it directly on a hearth stone. Plug it in and it works. No bracket to install, no studs to find, no drywall anchors.

Handheld Remote. Touch Panel. That's It.

Small handheld remote for the couch. Touch buttons on the top of the unit. Set the thermostat 62-82F, pick a flame color (amber / blue / purple) and brightness (low / medium / high), set the 0.5-7.5 hour timer. No app to download. No WiFi setup. No Alexa configuration. Nothing to sync.

money

ETL Certified. Cool-Touch Glass. Overheat Shutoff. Quiet.

Tempered glass front stays cool to touch. Iron and steel housing. Front-strip vent moves warm air out the top so nothing hot faces the room. Overheat shutoff cycles the element down automatically if the housing overheats. ETL certified. Quiet blower.

Built to Last, Not to Impress

Crystal-Ember Bed + Three Flame Colors. Fits the 18-Inch Opening.

Iron and steel housing. Tempered glass front. Crystal-ember bed at the bottom lit in amber, blue, or purple flame - each at 3 brightness levels. 1400W, 5,000 BTU, self-regulating. Front-strip vent design pushes warm air out the top so the glass stays cool to touch. One person can carry it in from the porch and lift it into an opening without help.

Slide it in tonight. Warm the room while amber, blue, or purple flames glow across the crystal-ember bed. The 18-inch mantel you sealed off years ago is finally doing something again — in your choice of three colors.

Drop It In. Plug It In. Pick a Flame Color. Tonight.

Measure your existing opening against 18"W x 18"H x 5"D. If it fits, slide it in - the mounting flanges on the corners will screw into wood if you want it locked, otherwise gravity holds it. Plug into a standard wall outlet on its own circuit. Point the remote. Pick amber, blue, or purple flame - and one of three brightness levels for each.

No wall bracket to anchor into studs. No drywall to cut. No contractor. No inspection.

Retired librarian. Amber ember bed every night. Blue for Christmas.

"Our 1980s farmhouse mantel had a narrow brick opening we capped years ago. The Aurora slid straight in at 18 inches wide. Amber flame across the crystal-ember bed is what I use every evening. My grandkids treat the blue and purple flames like magic - blue at Christmas, purple on Halloween. Three flame colors are not what I bought it for but they matter more than I expected."

Retired firefighter. Sits freestanding on the flat stone hearth.

"Retired fire captain, 40 years. Bought The Aurora for the mountain cabin. Sits freestanding on the flat bluestone hearth. The amber flame across the crystal-ember bed at dusk convinces anyone who walks in. ETL certified, cool-touch glass, overheat shutoff - all the design details we specified in code."

1990s ranch. Fits my 20-inch cutout with room to spare.

"Ranch house I bought in 1998. Original masonry fireplace opening, measured 20 inches across. The Aurora at 18 inches slid in with room to spare. Handheld remote works from the couch, touch buttons on the top. Amber flame most nights - looks like a real fire from across the room. At 5pm in December I switch to low-brightness blue and the whole living room feels calmer somehow."

Slid into our 1980s brick surround. Amber ember bed every night, blue at Christmas.

1980s brick fireplace surround, capped since 2011. Daughter helped carry The Aurora in and we slid it into the existing 18-inch opening. Amber flame across the crystal-ember bed is what I use every evening - looks like the traditional fire we used to have. Grandkids treat the blue and purple flames like a magic show - blue at Christmas, purple on Halloween. Three flame colors are not what I bought it for but they turned out to be worth it.

Retired. Wanted controls I understood. Handheld remote and touch panel only.

Every space heater I looked at came with an app requirement. I do not want an app. I want a button, a remote, and a knob. The Aurora has the handheld remote, has touch buttons on the top strip, no app, no WiFi setup, no Alexa. Set the thermostat to 72 with the remote from the couch and the flame comes on. Press power on the top when going to bed. Entire user manual.

Retrofit into a TV console cutout. Perfect 18-inch fit. Purple flame at Halloween.

Bought a media console years ago with a rectangular fireplace-insert cutout we never bought the insert for. Measured 20 x 20. The Aurora at 18 x 18 slid right in. Held by gravity and the console back. Kids figured out how to switch the flame color to purple within a day and now it is stuck on purple every October.

Contractor quoted $2,800 for a gas insert. This was $275.

Sealed-off masonry fireplace in our 1980s ranch. Contractor quoted $2,800 for a gas insert + $1,600 for a gas line. I ordered The Aurora for $275 and it slid straight into the existing opening. Plug in a nearby outlet. Done. Yes it is an electric flame, not real gas, but the amber crystal-ember bed reads convincing at normal viewing distance. At 7% of the cost, I can live with the tradeoff.

HVAC tech. 1400W verified with a clamp meter.

HVAC / electrical tech, 22 years. Put a clamp meter on the plug: reads ~12A at 120V = ~1400W. Label is honest. Coverage rating is 400 sq ft - I put mine in my 350 sq ft home office and it goes from 62 to 72 in about 20 minutes and holds it. Blower is quiet - I do not hear it over my keyboard from 6 feet away.

Guest bedroom retrofit into an 18-inch brick opening. Amber ember bed on low all night.

Small guest bedroom in our old farmhouse has an original 18-inch brick fireplace opening, long since sealed. Fit The Aurora in and set the amber flame on low, thermostat 68. First guests to use the room this winter were my in-laws over Thanksgiving. They came out the first morning saying your guest room is the coziest room in the house now. That is quite a compliment given my mother-in-law's standards.

Both have three flame colors (amber, blue, purple) at 3 brightness levels. The difference is the interior and the width. The Aurora is 23 inches wide with a molded log bed. The Aurora is 18 inches wide with a bed of glass crystal embers. If your existing opening is 18-22 inches wide OR you prefer the modern crystal-ember look over traditional logs, pick The Aurora. If your opening is 23+ inches wide OR you want the traditional log-fire look, pick The Aurora.

No. It is an LED-lit visual effect behind a tempered glass front, with a bed of glass crystal embers that lights up in amber, blue, or purple. The amber flame is convincing at normal viewing distance. Blue and purple are stylized decorative colors, not attempts at real fire. No wood, no smoke, no smell.

Any opening at least 18" wide, 18" tall, and 5" deep with a wall outlet within cord reach. Common installs: an existing sealed-off masonry fireplace, a TV console with a fireplace cutout, a cabinet or built-in with a rectangular opening, or freestanding on a flat hearth stone / raised platform. There is no wall-mount bracket. Do NOT install into a working chimney flue.

Wipe the tempered glass front with a soft dry cloth every few weeks. Occasionally vacuum the front-strip vent with a brush attachment. Do not use liquid cleaners near the vent or control panel. Do not open the housing.

Flame-only mode (no heat) draws roughly 12-14W - about the same as a nightlight - and is designed for that. Heat mode should not be left running unattended. Use the 0.5-7.5 hour timer.

At 18 x 18 x 5 inches it will physically fit in a large RV or fifth-wheel with a built-in fireplace cutout. Draw is 1400W (about 12A at 120V), which means its own dedicated circuit. Small 1000W-1500W inverters cannot handle it. Generators 3000W+ continuous run it fine.

Another cold night is coming. You already know what it feels like.

Every 1500W-class heater on the market makes the same heat. What differs: a bed of glass crystal embers instead of molded logs, lit from below in your choice of amber, blue, or purple flame at 3 brightness levels - dropping straight into the existing 18-inch opening you already have. No contractor. No permit. No app. Plug it in tonight and the room finally feels the way you wanted it to feel.
