Real Living Rooms. Real Cold Snaps. Real Wide 50-Inch Flame on the Wall.

50 inches wide. 3.19 inches thin. 400 sq ft of coverage. The wider option for bigger walls. Wall-mount or recess it. 12 flame colors over a glass crystal ember bed. Alexa, phone app, remote, and touch panel.

You have owned space heaters before. Bulky boxes in the corner. Fan noise, one color, one setting. This is not that.

Here is what actually differs about The Crystal Panel Wide.

4 Things We Care About

50 Inches Wide. Fills the Bigger Wall.

Same ultra-thin 3.19 inch profile as our 42-inch, but 8 inches wider. Fills the wall behind a longer sofa or above a bar console. Recess it into a wider accent wall for a built-in fireplace look. If your wall is over 8 feet long, this is the version that scales properly.

3.19 Inches Deep. Wall-Mount or Recessed.

Mounts flat on a wall without eating floor space. Or recess it into an accent wall for a built-in fireplace look. The 6.5 ft cord routes to a wall outlet behind or nearby. 36 lbs total — two-person mount recommended for the extra width.

check

Alexa. App. Remote. Touch.

Control it however you want. Remote (26 ft range), touch panel on the front, Alexa voice, or the phone app over WiFi or Bluetooth. Turn the flame on for ambience without the heat. Turn the heat on without the flame in sleep mode.

money

ETL Certified. Cool-Touch Glass. Overheat Shutoff.

Tempered glass front stays cool to touch. Steel housing. Overhead vents move warm air out the top so nothing hot faces the room. Overheat shutoff cycles the element down automatically. ETL listed on the back plate.

Built to Last, Not to Impress

Built for the Big Living Room and the Long Winter Evening.

Steel housing. Tempered glass front. 750W low / 1500W high. Overhead vent design keeps the front cool to touch. 12-color flame with 12-color glass crystal ember bed. 36 lbs. Wall-mount bracket included. 6.5 ft cord. ETL certified. About 20 cents an hour to run on low, 40 on high.

Plug it in tonight. Warm the room while 50 inches of multicolor flame over a real glass ember bed turns any wall into a fireplace.

Mount It. Plug It In. Warm the Room. Watch the 50-Inch Flame. Tonight.

Pick a wall. Anchor the bracket into studs (or recess it into a wall opening). Plug the 6.5 ft cord into a nearby outlet. Press the touch panel, tap the app, or ask Alexa. The 12-color flame comes on across the full 50 inches over the glass ember bed. Warm air comes out the top vents. That is it. No venting, no gas line, no chimney.

Real homeowners. Real bigger living rooms. Real wide crystal-bed flame on the wall on the same 1500 watts everyone else charges you for.

Homeowners. Renters. Caregivers. All had the same one big wall in the house that felt cold and blank. Here is what happened when they mounted something 50 inches wide to it.

"Retired accountant. Zero maintenance was my requirement. 50 inches is what fits my study."

"I spent 40 years as a CPA and I do not like maintenance. Wall-mount electric was the answer for my study — no chimney, no gas line, no filters, no annual servicing. Picked the 50-inch Wide because my study wall is 9 feet across and the 42 would have looked lost. Warms the whole 350 sq ft room in about 20 minutes on high, then holds on low while I read. Tempered glass stays cool enough that the cat sleeps under it."

"Real-estate agent. I stage listings with this. Buyers linger in the room longer."

"I stage listings for a living. Wall-mount electric fireplaces are my secret weapon — they instantly elevate a blank wall. The 50-inch Wide is my go-to for great rooms and family rooms with high ceilings. Turn it to amber for open houses, warm blue for evening showings. Buyers linger in the room longer. Three closings this quarter mentioned the fireplace unprompted."

"Retired firefighter. I picked ETL cert + cool-touch glass + wide flame."

"Retired from the fire service after 28 years. Bought a wall-mount electric for my den because I wanted zero real fire in the house at this point in my life. Went with the 50-inch Wide because the shorter 42 would have felt small on the wall behind my leather sofa. ETL cert on the back plate, cool-touch tempered glass, overhead vents, overheat shutoff. Everything you would look for from a safety standpoint. Amber flame at low brightness in the evening — my grandkids call it 'the movie fire.'"

The extra 8 inches of width was the reason I did NOT go with the 42.

Deliberated for a month between the 42 and the 50. My living-room wall is 11 feet across. Went with the 50 inch Wide. Right call. The 42 would have looked lost on a wall that big — like a small painting on a big wall. The 50 fills it properly. Flame window is more than long enough to feel like a real fireplace. Amber flame at evening brightness is the mood the room needed. 5-year-old asked if it was real. That is my quality standard.

Alexa control makes the 50-inch flame magic at 5am.

Bought this mostly for the flame effect. Kept it because Alexa control turned out to be huge for my sleep schedule. I wake up at 4am for work. Rather than fumbling with a remote in the dark or getting out of bed to hit a touch panel, I just say 'Alexa, turn on the fireplace' and the whole 50 inches of amber flame comes on while I get dressed. Timer set for 45 minutes so it turns itself off after I leave. Bigger flame = more room ambience while I make coffee. Worth the extra dollars over the 42 for the visual presence alone.

HVAC tech. ETL cert + overhead vents + wider flame surface.

I install and repair forced-air furnaces. My wife wanted a fireplace look for our big great room without a gas line or a chimney. I picked this one — the wider version. ETL cert on the back plate (real, not marketing). Overhead vent design means the glass front stays cool to touch — no exposed hot metal facing the room. Overheat shutoff cycles the element down before anything gets to unsafe temp. Everything you would look for on the safety side. Why the 50 over the 42: our great-room wall is 12 feet across and I wanted the flame to fill the field of vision when you sit on the sectional. Job done.

Recessed the 50-inch into our accent wall. Contractor said impossible for the price.

Our house had never had a fireplace. Wife has wanted one for years. Instead of paying 10-15k for a real gas insert, I framed out a horizontal opening in our shiplap accent wall and recessed The Crystal Panel Wide into it. 3.19 inches deep meant the framing was straightforward — just a shallow inset with a header above and a sill below. Wired an outlet inside the cavity so no cord shows. The 50-inch width fills the accent wall like a proper built-in. From across the room it looks like a Restoration Hardware fireplace insert. Total cost including the panel, lumber, and outlet: under 800 bucks. Contractor buddy laughed and said he could not have done it cheaper.

Engineer. Kill-a-Watt: 1500W high, 750W low. Same as label.

Kill-a-Watt on the outlet. High mode: exactly 1500W (12.5A at 120V). Low mode: exactly 750W. Flame-only mode with heat off: about 10W (LED array plus display) — slightly more than the 42-inch because the LED bar is longer. Coverage claim (400 sq ft) is basically accurate for a well-insulated room. My 400 sq ft living room goes from 62 to 70F in about 30 minutes on high, then holds at 70 on low. Drafty rooms will take longer. The Wide draws the same electricity as the 42, generates the same heat, and just spreads the flame effect over a wider window. Buying the Wide only makes sense if your wall is big enough to justify it. Mine is.

My father is 84. This is the fireplace he asked me to install in his den.

My father is 84, lives alone in a 3-bedroom ranch in Michigan. Cold in his den every winter no matter how high he turns the central heat. Installed the 50-inch Wide on his den wall. He uses the remote almost exclusively — buttons are big enough for his hands, red power button is unmistakable. The 12 flame colors are his favorite part; he cycles through them like TV channels. Den stays warm without him having to bend over to a floor unit. Glass stays cool so he is not worried about the grandkids. Overheat shutoff so I do not worry about him either. The width fills his wall properly — the 42-inch would have felt small.

Same 1500W of heat as the 42-inch. Same 400 sq ft coverage. What differs: 8 more inches of flame window across the wall, 6 more lbs of weight (36 vs 30), and a wider wall footprint. If your wall is over 8 feet across, the 50-inch Wide will scale properly to it. If your wall is smaller, the 42-inch is the right choice — the Wide will look oversized in a small space.

No. It is an LED-lit visual effect behind a tempered glass front, with actual glass crystals in the ember bed lit from below in 12 colors. From normal viewing distance (5+ feet) it looks convincingly like a real fire and the color options are genuinely dramatic. Up close you can tell it is not real flame. No wood, no smoke, no crackling, no ash.

Any interior wall with two studs within reach of a wall outlet — the bracket anchors into studs and the cord is 6.5 ft long. At 50 inches wide, two-person mount is recommended. Common spots: above a long modular sofa or sectional, on a wall behind a media console, on the wall above a bar counter, or recessed into an accent wall for a built-in look. Mount so the top of the panel is at eye level when seated. Keep at least 8 inches clear above the top vents. Avoid mounting directly above a TV — the heat rises.

Wipe the tempered glass front with a soft dry cloth every few weeks to keep dust off the flame view. Vacuum the top vent slots once a season. That is it. No filters, no fluid, no annual servicing. If a flame color starts flickering weirdly (rare), unplug for 60 seconds and plug back in — it resets the LED array.

The flame-only mode (no heat) draws about 10W — essentially the same as a nightlight — and is designed to run continuously without safety concerns. That said, we still recommend using the 1-12 hour timer so nothing electrical runs unattended past when you want it to. If you want to combine flame ambience with heat overnight, use sleep mode: the display and flame dim, the heat cycles quietly, and the timer shuts everything off at the set time. Never leave a space heater in heat mode running when you leave the house.

Technically yes if you have a 120V AC circuit rated for the 12.5A draw. Realistically not the best fit — 1500W is a lot to pull from an RV inverter or a small solar setup. Best in a stick-built home on a standard 15A wall circuit. Do NOT plug into an extension cord or power strip.

Every 1500-watt heater makes the same heat. What differs about this one: 50 inches of 12-color flame over a real glass crystal ember bed, 3.19 inches thin so it mounts on the wall without eating floor space, Alexa + phone + remote + touch control, and 400 sq ft of coverage. Plug it in, mount it up, warm the room, watch the flame. Tonight.
