Real Covered Porches. Real Garages. Real Extended Season.
You already own outdoor furniture. What you don’t own is a heater that makes the porch usable in October, November, and early December.
Here is what actually differs about The Porch Bar.
4 Things We Care About
Built to Last, Not to Impress
Built for Covered Outdoor — The Porch You Sit On, The Grill You Cook At, The Shop You Work In.
Aluminum IP65 housing. 500W / 1000W / 1500W. Silent carbon fiber infrared. Remote + 24-hour timer. 45° tilt. Wall-mount hardware included. 26 inches wide, 8 inches tall, 5.5 pounds. Element surface hits 750°F; housing stays cool. About 25 cents an hour on high.
Mount it once. Aim it at where you sit. Extend porch season 6 to 8 weeks each end.
Mount It. Aim It. Feel Warm on the Porch in 30 Seconds.
Screw the bracket into your covered porch wall or pergola beam. Slide the bar onto the bracket. Adjust the 45° tilt to aim at the seating area. Plug in. Hit HIGH on the remote from your chair. Feel the warmth on your skin within 30 seconds — not the outdoor air, YOU.
Real covered porches. Real outdoor kitchens. Real garage workshops. Real infrared heat that extends the season.
Homeowners. Renters. Caregivers. All had the same one room in the house that never got warm. Here is what happened when they stopped ignoring it.
"Portland gets cold and wet by October. I used to give up on my covered porch by September — too cold to sit out. Porch Bar mounted above my rocking chair, tilted down at me. Rain safely under the porch roof, bar warm within 30 seconds. Sit out with hot cocoa and a book through Thanksgiving now."
"Austin winters aren’t brutal but they’re cool at night. Bar mounted on my pergola beam over the grill area. Turn it on when I fire up the grill. Warm on the grill side within a minute. Wife stays warm at the outdoor dining table on the other side. Extended outdoor cooking season by 2 months easy."
"Minnesota winter. Detached shop was unheatable — too big, too many air leaks. Give up until April, usually. Wall-mounted the Porch Bar above the workbench. Cold shop, warm ME. Difference between working through winter and giving up."
Real Reviews From Real Customers

Porch through Thanksgiving instead of giving up in September.
Portland gets cold and wet by October. I used to give up on my covered porch by mid-September — too cold, too much wind. Bar mounted above my wooden rocking chair, tilted down. Rain safely under the porch roof, bar warm within 30 seconds of turning on. Now I sit out with hot cocoa and a book through Thanksgiving. Two extra months of porch every year.

Outdoor kitchen extended. Grill in a t-shirt in November.
Austin winters aren’t brutal but they’re cool at night. Bar on the pergola beam over the grill area. Turn on when I fire up the grill. Warm on the grill side within a minute. Wife stays warm at the outdoor dining table on the other side. Extended cooking season by 2 months easy.

Detached workshop in Duluth. January-usable now.
Minnesota winter. Detached shop was unheatable — too big, too many gaps, too many air leaks. Give up until April. Bar wall-mounted above the workbench, tilted down at me. Cold shop, warm ME. This is the difference between working through winter and giving up. Bought the second one for the other bench.

IP65 vs generic waterproof — there IS a difference.
Electrical background. IP65 means dust-tight AND protected against water jets. My previous outdoor heater was “water resistant” (marketing) and died the first storm that blew rain under the covered porch. This one is IP65 certified. Same rating as most outdoor security cameras. Handled 3 storms so far, no issues.

Under a covered hot tub. Extends soak season to winter.
Hot tub is covered but the surrounding air is cold. Getting in and out is the miserable part. Bar mounted on the wooden overhang above the tub, tilted down. Warm when I get out. Steam from the water carries the warmth. Complete game changer for winter hot tub use.

Sunroom with vaulted ceiling. Mount high, aim low.
Sunroom has a vaulted wood ceiling. Central heat doesn’t reach the space well because heat rises to the ceiling. Bar mounted high on the ceiling beam, tilted 45° down at the seating area. Warm the people, not the ceiling. Sunroom now usable year-round.

Sign In to ContinueAnywhere with a solid roof structure blocking direct downpour from above. That includes: covered front porches, covered back porches, awnings, pergolas with a solid metal or wood top, carports, detached garages, sunrooms, outdoor kitchens under an overhang, and gazebos with a solid roof. NOT: open pergolas (lath-top / open slats), open patios, gazebos with only fabric roofs, or anywhere direct rain can hit the element from above.
Effective zone at 1500W: about 6-8 feet in front of the heater, spreading to a 6-foot wide arc. So it comfortably warms a bistro table, a couch for 2-3 people, or the grill area of an outdoor kitchen. For a larger patio, mount 2 bars at different angles.
No — it plugs into a standard 120V outdoor GFCI outlet with the included cord. You just need to mount the bracket to the wall (cordless drill + 4 screws). Total install time: 15-30 minutes. If your covered porch doesn’t have an outdoor outlet nearby, THEN you’d need an electrician to add one.
The aluminum housing gets warm but not hot enough to burn on brief contact. The heating ELEMENT inside (the carbon fiber tube behind the metal mesh grille) reaches 750°F — do NOT stick fingers through the grille. The mesh keeps kids and pets safe from the hot element during normal use.
Like every 1500W heater on this site — do NOT leave it unattended overnight. Use the 24-hour timer for scheduled ON/OFF windows within a day you’re home. The infrared elements do NOT retain heat like oil radiators do — when the heater cycles off, the warmth cuts immediately.
Yes, under an awning or covered slide-out. It’s 5.5 pounds and 26 inches wide — fits easily. Draws 12.5A on high, so ensure your 30-amp shore power circuit isn’t already loaded.

Every 1500-watt heater makes about the same peak heat. What differs about this one: it MOUNTS ON THE WALL under your covered porch, awning, or eave, and it’s IP65 waterproof so wind-blown rain and snow don’t kill it. Carbon fiber infrared warms YOU directly — you feel warm in 30 seconds even at 40°F. Remote, 24-hour timer, 45° tilt, silent (no fan). Mount it once. Extend porch season 6-8 weeks each end. 30-day return window.
