It’s the same silent 700W oil-filled design in a matte black finish. Pick the Onyx Pocket if you want it to blend in on a dark desk, nightstand or shelf.
Where does it work best?
Anywhere you sit for a while: a home office desk, a nightstand, a dresser, a reading-chair side table or a small nook. It warms you and the space around your chair.
Is it really silent?
Yes. There’s no fan. Sealed oil warms the 7 fins and the heat rises on its own, at under 45 dB.
How much does it cost to run?
About 12¢ an hour at the US average electricity rate, and ECO mode cycles it to hold your setting.
Is the oil messy? Can it leak?
No. The oil is sealed inside the fins at the factory. You never fill, drain or touch it.
Can I use it in a kid’s room?
Yes. There’s no fan blowing and no glowing element, plus tip-over and overheat protection. Set it on a dresser or shelf with about 3 feet of clearance from bedding and curtains.
Can I use it in an RV or on an inverter?
Yes. At 5.8 amps it works on any standard 120V outlet, campground shore power, a 700W-capable inverter or a properly rated generator.
