"The bathroom in this apartment is a full 8 degrees colder than the rest. I put this on a stool by the door for 15 minutes before my shower. Small enough to fit on the stool, warm enough that I don't stand on frozen tile anymore."

Jessica M. — Brooklyn, NY

David R. — Denver, CO

"Sits on my desk in the room over the garage. LED display shows the actual temperature so I know it's holding 68. ECO mode kicks it on and off without me touching a thing. Small, quiet, does what it says."

David R. — Denver, CO

Margaret K. — Bend, OR

"I'm 71. My reading chair is at the end of the baseboard run. This sits on the side table right next to me — fits with room to spare next to my mug of tea. I can read for two hours without a blanket."

Real Homes. Real Cold Snaps. Real Warmth.

Small enough for a nightstand, a desk, or a bathroom stool. Real winter photos from real customers.

You have bought space heaters before. Loud. Ugly. Orange coils. You worry about the cat, the curtain, the kid.

Here is what actually differs about The Ceramic Compact.

4 Things We Care About

6 Pounds. 17 Inches.

Small enough to fit on a nightstand, a desk, or a bathroom stool. The Ceramic Tower (our bigger one) is for whole rooms. This is for the space right around you.

ECO Mode Holds 68°F.

Cycles the element on and off automatically to hold 68 degrees. Not a marketing claim about "energy saving" — a real thermostat behavior that stops overheating one spot.

check

LED Display. Child Lock.

LED shows the current temperature and mode so you know what it is doing. Hold the mode button 3 seconds and the front locks so kids cannot change a setting.

money

PTC Ceramic. Tip-Over. Cool-Touch.

Self-regulating PTC element. Tip-over shutoff. Overheat protection. V0 flame-retardant shell you can nudge with a foot. Nothing inside glows red.

Built to Last, Not to Impress

Built for the One Cold Spot

V0 flame-retardant ABS housing. Cool-touch exterior. 1000W low, 1500W high. 12-hour programmable timer. Child lock. Full remote. Weighs 6 pounds so you can move it from nightstand to desk to bathroom without thinking about it. Runs about 25 cents an hour on high. That is the whole spec sheet, and it is the same one every honest ceramic-heater manufacturer publishes.

Plug it in this afternoon. Warm the space you sit in tonight. Turn the central thermostat down two degrees.

Plug In. Warm the Room. Tonight.

Pick a spot — nightstand, desk, side table, bathroom stool. Plug it in. Press power. The PTC ceramic element hits temperature in about five seconds and the space warms in about ten minutes on high. That is it. No installation, no venting, no thermostat wiring, no wall bracket.

Real homeowners. Real cold spots. Real warmth on the same 1500 watts everyone else charges you for.

Homeowners. Renters. Caregivers. All had the same one room in the house that never got warm. Here is what happened when they stopped ignoring it.

"Warm Bathroom 🛁"
"Fits on My Nightstand 🌙"
"LED Reads 68°F ✅"
"Kid-Safe Lock 🔒"
"I finally have a warm bathroom in the morning."

"Cast-iron radiator in the bedroom, nothing in the bathroom. I put this on a stool near the door. The 12-hour timer turns it on 20 minutes before my alarm and off before I leave. Small enough to move to whichever bathroom needs it. First warm morning routine in six years."

"Sits on my desk. LED shows 68. Done."

"The room over the garage was always cold. I put this on the desk beside my laptop — small enough to be a desktop unit. LED shows the actual temperature so I know it is holding 68 on ECO mode. Cycles on and off by itself. I close the door and let the furnace serve the rest of the house."

Mike S.
Denver, CO
"I dropped the whole-house thermostat 4 degrees. Saved about 50 dollars a month."

"I am a numbers person. Whole house at 70 was 310 dollars in gas last January. Dropped it to 66 and put this on the kitchen table where I do my morning email. Bill went to 242 dollars. This heater added about 12 dollars to the electric line. Net savings around 55 dollars a month. Small unit, real math."

Replaced the 40-pound old radiator I kept moving room to room.

I had an old bulky column radiator I bought years ago and dragged from room to room every winter. Slow. Heavy. Ugly cord. Bought this because I wanted something LIGHT with a timer. Six pounds. I move it with one hand. Warms my office in about ten minutes on high. The 12-hour timer is what closed the deal — I set it before I sit down at 8 AM, shuts off at 4 PM. LED display shows the actual room temp so I know it is holding. Sold the old radiator on Craigslist for $30. Do not miss it.

Austin cold snap. Sat this on the nightstand. Warmed the bed area in 8 minutes.

My Austin apartment has electric baseboard heat that costs a fortune. When the February cold snap dropped us to 24F, I put this ON MY NIGHTSTAND (it fits, six pounds, tiny footprint), turned the baseboard off, and slept in a warm bed area on 25 cents an hour instead of two dollars. Set the ECO mode, LED said 68, went to bed. It is small enough that the heat stays near ME, not the whole cold apartment. The bill for that month came in 90 dollars under what it would have been. That is the whole review.

HVAC tech. Bought two for my mother-in-law's small apartment.

I install and repair furnaces for a living. My mother-in-law is 78 and her apartment has one baseboard heater that leaves the bedroom at 58F. I bought her this. Reasons: PTC ceramic cycles cleanly. Cool-touch exterior so she does not burn her leg. Tip-over shutoff for the dog. Child lock keeps her curious grandkids from pushing buttons. LED display so she can read the temperature clearly with her eyes. One year later, zero issues. I bought a second one for her bathroom. Six pounds means she can move each one herself.

Two houses. One heater. Fits in a duffel.

We have a house in Bend and a cabin in Sunriver. Both have baseboard heat that is slow. The guest room in Bend and the loft in the cabin never get warm. This weighs six pounds. It fits in a duffel bag. I take it back and forth for cabin weekends. The 12-hour timer means I can set it to warm the guest room before company arrives. LED display shows the current temp so I know it is doing its job.

Engineer. Logged 30 days. LED matches my thermometer.

I do not trust marketing copy. I hooked a Bluetooth thermometer up in my basement office and logged temperature 24/7. The unit's LED display and my independent Bluetooth thermometer agreed to within 1 degree across 30 days. On ECO mode, the element cycles on for about 8 minutes, off for about 12, holding 68F within 2 degrees. Power draw during 'on' cycles: 1500W. During 'off' cycles: near zero. Averaged over the day: about 600W duty-cycled, which at Ohio's 15 cents per kWh is about 9 cents an hour. That matches the label to the penny. Element cycles cleanly. Purchase vindicated.

My wife has MS. Small heater by her chair, LED lets her check it.

MS makes her hypersensitive to cold. Central heat keeps the house at 68F but her reading chair is by a north window and feels 62. She used to bury herself under blankets and still get pins-and-needles in her feet. This sits on the small side table right next to her chair — small enough that it does not crowd. LED display so she can read the temperature from her chair. Cool-touch shell so she can nudge it with her foot without burning. The remote lives on her armrest. Child lock keeps our grandkids from adjusting settings when they visit. First appliance in years that noticeably improved her day.

Yes. The Ceramic Compact is 6 pounds and 17 inches tall. The Ceramic Tower is 9 pounds and 29 inches tall. The Tower warms a whole 215 sq ft room. The Compact warms the space right around it — a bedside area, a desk, a small bathroom. Same 1500 watts of heat. Different form factor. Buy the Tower if you want to warm a whole room. Buy the Compact if you want to warm the spot you sit in.

Let us be straight with you: every 1500-watt heater on the market makes exactly the same amount of heat. The 25-dollar one included. Anyone who claims their heater is more efficient is selling you something. What actually differs: this one has an LED display (shows the actual room temperature), ECO mode (cycles the element on and off automatically), a real child lock (hold the mode button 3 seconds), a 12-hour programmable timer, cool-touch shell, and PTC ceramic instead of exposed coils. If you do not need those things, buy the 25-dollar heater.

Any flat stable surface at least three feet from walls, drapes, furniture, or anything flammable. The whole point of the Compact is that it fits places a full-size heater does not: a nightstand, a desk, a small side table, a bathroom stool. Standard 120V outlet, never a light-duty extension cord. It pulls up to 12.5 amps on high, which is basically a whole circuit, so do not stack it with a hair dryer.

Once a month, unplug it, slide out the removable dust filter on the back, rinse it in warm water, air-dry, put it back. That is it. Wipe the housing with a soft dry cloth when it is cool. No cartridges to buy, no replacement filters.

We are going to answer honestly: do not sleep with a space heater running unattended. That is our answer and it is the answer for every 1500-watt heater on the market. Every winter people are hurt because it is not fine. What The Ceramic Compact is good for: reading, working, watching TV, warming the bedroom for 30 minutes before bed with the timer, warming the bathroom for 20 minutes before a shower. Use it when you are awake.

Yes, on any standard 15-amp 120V circuit — shore power, a 1500W-capable inverter, or a properly-rated generator. It pulls up to 12.5 amps on high. Do not run it on a light-duty extension cord, do not stack it with a microwave on the same outlet, and do not run it in a garage near solvents or paint.
