Gazebos. Pergolas. Covered Patios. Real Warmth Overhead.

Hangs from a chain overhead. 360-degree radiant warmth. Pull-chain on. Pull-chain off.

You have tried patio heaters before. Propane tanks. Refills. Tipping. The smell. Or tall electric ones that take up floor space in a gazebo.

Here is what actually differs about The Hanging Halo.

4 Things We Care About

360-Degree Radiant. Everyone Feels It.

Halogen tubes radiate outward in every direction from the center of the dome. Everyone sitting under it feels warmth on their face at the same time. Perfect for a gazebo dining table where people sit in a circle.

Hangs Overhead. Out of the Way.

23-inch steel chain and S-hook included. Hangs from any ceiling hook rated for the 6-pound weight. Out of reach of kids and pets by design. Adjust drop height to your gazebo or pergola.

IPX4 Waterproof. No Propane.

Splash-resistant from any direction. Install under a covered structure and leave it out year-round. Rust-proof steel dome. Zero refills, zero smell, zero tank swaps.

Silent. Pull-Chain On.

Zero moving parts, zero noise. Pull the cord to turn on, pull again to turn off. No app, no remote batteries to die on the coldest night of the year.

Real homeowners. Real gazebos and pergolas. Real warmth on the same 1500 watts everyone else charges you for.

Homeowners. Renters. Caregivers. All had the same one room in the house that never got warm. Here is what happened when they stopped ignoring it.

"Gazebo in January ❄️"
"Everyone Feels It 🔥"
"No More Propane ❌"
"Pull-Chain Simplicity 🔗"
"Retired my propane. Ate outside all winter."

"Old propane mushroom heater used to dominate one corner of my gazebo. Refills, smell, wind blowing the flame out. Hung The Hanging Halo from the gazebo peak center. Pull one chain and every person around the table feels warm. Ate dinner outside all December. Sold the propane on Craigslist."

Sarah D.

"360-degree radiant is the whole point."

"Have a hexagonal gazebo with a round table. A wall-mounted heater only warms one side of the table. The Halo hangs from the center of the peak and everyone gets equal warmth. Nobody complains about being on the cold side anymore. Silent, no fan blowing the candles out."

Mike S.
Denver, CO
"Hot tub deck is finally usable in January."

"Getting out of a hot tub in winter used to be a sprint to the towel. Hung The Halo from the covered overhang above the tub. Now the transition from water to air is not a shock. IPX4 means the little bit of steam and splash does not hurt it. Turned our deck into a year-round space."

Sold my propane. Hung The Halo. Never going back.

Had a tall propane patio heater in the corner of my gazebo. Refills at the hardware store, tipping in the wind, the propane smell. The Halo hangs from the peak, warms every person around the table equally, no smell, no refills. Uses about a quarter an hour of electricity on the only setting. Sold the propane heater on Craigslist for 60 bucks.

Austin cold snap. Hung under the pergola beam. Ate outside anyway.

Austin does not usually need heaters. Then February hits and my wife wants to eat outside anyway. Hung The Halo from the pergola crossbeam over our outdoor dining table. Pull the cord, warm faces around the table in seconds. The wind was blowing but the infrared reaches through wind because it heats us, not the air.

HVAC tech. Recommend hanging over wall-mount for gazebos.

I install HVAC for a living. When people ask about gazebo heating, I now say: hanging pendant, ETL + SGS certified, IPX4 rated. Reason: hanging from the peak of a gazebo means every seat around the round table gets equal warmth. A wall-mount only warms one arc. Halogen tubes, 1500W same as anything else — no efficiency claims to fact-check.

Two properties. Hung one at each.

Covered patio at our Bend house and a gazebo at our Sunriver cabin. Both were unusable November to March. Bought two Halos. Same install: eye-bolt in the ceiling, S-hook, chain, plug it in. Weight is only 6 pounds so mounting was easy. Cabin gazebo now sees regular use in winter.

Engineer. Measured surface temp under the dome. Numbers hold.

Aimed a Fluke IR thermometer at my face at various distances under the Halo mounted 7 feet above. Directly under: face temperature rose from 68F ambient to about 86F in 45 seconds. 3 feet off-center: about 80F. 6 feet off-center: about 74F. Beyond 6 feet: ambient. Power draw a steady 1500W measured with a Kill-a-Watt, which at 15 cents per kWh is 22.5 cents per hour. Matches the label.

My wife has MS. Our gazebo is her favorite place in summer. Now year-round.

MS makes her hypersensitive to cold. Our gazebo has been her favorite reading spot since we built it — but never in winter. Hung The Halo from the peak center. She sits under it wrapped in a wool throw and reads. Says it feels like the sun on her face. First winter she is not cooped up on the couch.

It warms bodies within about 5-6 feet of directly below. So the whole gazebo does not get warmer, but the people sitting at the table under it do. That is the entire point of radiant infrared. For a hexagonal or round gazebo up to about 12 feet across, hang the Halo from the peak center — everyone at the table feels warm.

Propane heaters warm air, which the wind carries away. Infrared warms your skin directly, which the wind cannot carry away. That is why a hanging halogen halo works in a mild breeze where a propane heater is useless. Also: no refills, no tanks, no smell, no tipping hazard. Just hang it and plug it in.

From a ceiling hook or eye-bolt rated for the 6-pound weight, in the ceiling of a covered structure: gazebo peak, pergola crossbeam, covered patio ceiling joist, screened porch beam. Minimum 11.8 inches from the ceiling above the pendant (heat dissipation), and minimum 5.9 feet from any wall (clearance). Adjust the drop height to your space using the 23-inch included chain.

IPX4 — protected against splashing water from any direction. Install it under a covered structure (gazebo roof, pergola cover, patio ceiling) and it will survive rain, snow, and wind-blown moisture. Do NOT hang it in the open where direct rain falls on it. The steel dome does not rust.

Do not leave any 1500W heater running unattended. The pull-chain switch is right there — pull once to turn on when you go out, pull once to turn off before you come back inside. That is the whole safety story.

Yes — many customers use it in workshops with an overhead beam. Hang it above your workbench and it warms you where you stand. Silent, no fan blowing sawdust around. Do not run it near solvents or flammable finishes.
