Choose the Slim Wall Insert for a built-in look: it is only 6 in deep and its trim frame covers the edges of the opening. Choose the Freestanding + Insert if you want it on a TV stand, dresser or tabletop, or slid into a mantel or cabinet.
Will it fit my wall or mantel?
The Slim Wall Insert measures 28.5 × 6 × 21 in. The Freestanding + Insert measures 29 × 9.5 × 20.5 in. Measure your opening and leave a little room around it so warm air can flow.
How warm does it get?
The Slim Wall Insert has 750W and 1,500W settings (5,118 BTU). The Freestanding + Insert has 900W and 1,350W settings (5,000 BTU). Both warm rooms up to 400 sq ft with a thermostat from 62°F to 82°F.
Can I use the flame without heat?
Yes. Run the flame by itself any time of year, or add heat when it is cold. Pick orange, blue or an orange-blue mix.
How do I control it?
Both include a remote and a control panel. The Slim Wall Insert has a 0–8 hour timer and 5 brightness levels. The Freestanding + Insert has a touch panel, a 0.5–6 hour timer and 4 brightness levels.
Does it need an electrician?
No. It plugs into a standard 120V outlet with a 71 in cord.
Does it have overheat protection?
Yes. Both styles shut off automatically if they get too warm inside.
Are batteries included for the remote?
The remote takes AAA batteries, which are not included.
